Over 3 Decades of Experience
I worked for Ford Motor Company for over 33 years in a variety of different positions. Many of my jobs were in the area of warranty, measuring how Ford and Lincoln's dealerships administer and spend warranty dollars, comparing one dealership against others to see who is out of line, conducting warranty audits within dealerships, and analyzing warranty trends within Ford.
Final Years at Ford
For my last 7-years at Ford, I was the program lead for a warranty reengineering project where we rebuilt all of Ford’s warranty systems and processes globally. As this software program began rolling out, I felt it was a good time to retire and take my warranty skills and abilities on the road.
While working at Ford, I became very involved in warranty conferences, like the Warranty Chain Management Conference and the European Networking Group. I also did a lot of industry benchmarking. Through these activities, I felt that I had my finger on the pulse of what Ford was doing in the area of warranty and what other companies were doing. I felt that I had a good knowledge of what was considered “best in class” in warranty administration.
